The new Zoom B2 Four offers 11 bass amp models and onboard effects.  Making it potentially a great buy for any bass players, especially if they need a versatile compact bass rig. Guitarists had the G2 Four and G2X announced last year. Now at last bass players get a dedicated version for them

Zoom B2 Four

This Zoom B2 Four is the same form factor as the G2 Four *, just this time it is a dedicated set of 11 bass amp models and onboard effects. This makes it an appealing mini bass rig for any bassists that need to travel light, or just want a versatile rig for home.

It uses the same Zoom Multi-Layer IR technology as the two guitar versions and could be perfect for many scenarios. Users also get the same Cross Key Navigation system as the G2 versions. Though, it can also be edited using your smart devices.

Zoom Guitar Lab

The B2 Four has 300 patch memories and the option to build chains of up to five of these at once. The Zoom Guitar Lab software for both iOS and Android devices allows users to edit these on the fly. Which makes it appealing and also potentially very simple to use and create bass tones with.

Jamming

To complete this compact package, Zoom has also included an onboard rhythm machine with 68 drum patterns and a handy 60-second built-in looper. Perfect for jamming out song ideas and practising with. I’m guessing it could also be a neat tool to have in your gig bag for downtime or as a backup.

Handy Connectivity

It has a balanced XLR output and a ground lift switch on the rear panel, so connectivity is also good. Plus, an Aux in for jamming along to external sources and USB for updates and communication with the Guitar Lab software and it will act as a 2 in/2 out interface to your DAW. Finally, there is an expression pedal connection as well, so you can expand the control option somewhat.
