Vox has launched a special limited edition Union Jack Royal Blue Pathfinder 10 to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year. Along with a somewhat more subdued Cream Brown option for those looking for a more vintage style finish.

The Vox Union Jack Royal Blue Pathfinder 10 was designed to ride on the back of the Platinum Jubilee This eye-catching model comes with a Union Jack themed front grille, matched with a royal blue leather– look housing, with white piping, and matching chicken head knobs. I’m not sure how patriotic you need to be to own one? But if you like flag themed guitar gear, then this one could be for you.

Vox does have a bit of history with Union Jack themed amps, and you may well remember the Mini Superbeetle model they released in 2019. There was also a variation of the Pathfinder 10 around 5 years ago, but that one was not available in this royal blue finish. Potentially perfect these flag themed amps could be fun for fans of the Mod movement, or perhaps Oasis fans?

Cream Brown
Next up is the Pathfinder 10 Cream Brown which is a limited-edition version and comes in a more classic look. It has an ivory cream leather-look finish. Along with a vintage inspired Vox diamond grille cloth, which looks more in keeping to my eye with the style of these amps.

Solid State
Both amps are based on a 10 Watt power output, all analogue design, and house a single 6.5″ Vox Bulldog speaker. These solid state mini combos have controls for Volume, Gain, Bass, Treble, and a handy Clean/Overdrive Switch. You also get a headphone out for quiet practice, and so they could make a good amp for the home or office.
You should see these limited edition releases start to appear soon on with Vox dealers. If you aren’t to fussed by the finish, but want to pick one top then the standard version is available.

That’s nice, but what they need to do is to reissue the Pathfinder 15R, which has become really desirable as people have found that it provides a really good Vox sound at bedroom levels. It was a really inexpensive amp, but the used prices for it have shot up.
Hopefully, Vox will sort out a reissue of that one day soon.
I have two 15Rs and I will never part with them.
