The Tsakalis Audioworks AC MASTER transforms any amp into the classic combination of a Vox amp and a Range Master booster. The pedal comprises two independent sections that can be used separately or together.
This allows the AC Master to cover a wide tonal spectrum – from crystal-clear, slightly overdriven sounds to aggressive classic rock saturation, including countless signature tones. Perfect for guitarists seeking that classic AC chime and drive tone.
What’s particularly useful is the ability to flexibly combine the two sections. This allows not only for classic British overdrive sounds but also for independent boost and gain setups for different applications.
AC section: Vox style overdrive
The AC section delivers an overdrive that emulates the tonal character of well-known Vox amplifiers. With two blendable channels and a dedicated output section, the pedal can be finely tuned. The range extends from transparent crunch to lively, singing drive sounds with a British flair.
The Top Boost voice has a bright, bell-like overdrive with controls for volume, bass, treble, and tone cut. Then the Normal offers a warmer, fatter, and slightly distorted overdrive with a simple volume control.
Finally, the boost section is ideal for solos, pushing your amp or overdrive pedal harder, or adding more presence and focus to your overall sound. But the real magic happens when combined with the AC section.
