The first thing you’ll notice is that the RePitch plugin interface has been redesigned, which makes it easier to find your way around as a new or experienced user. Here, one of the key additions is the new floating toolbar that gives you instant access to your editing tools. Meanwhile, doing precise editing has also been improved, allowing you to make refined adjustments.
What’s more, there is now multitrack editing in RePitch 2, which means that you can tackle multiple channels of lead and backing vocals within the dense chorus of a Pop production quickly and easily in a single window interface. One of the most intelligent new features in RePitch 2 is the SmartAttack transient detector that reads the unique timing of a vocal performance.
The algorithm detects instances where slight timing edits will be beneficial to the overall groove, without becoming stagnant and robotic. As a result, you can achieve a natural uniformity without losing the unique character you captured in the vocal booth. However, the multitrack editing and SmartAttack features are only available to RePitch Standard users.
Overall, when you add these upgrades to the familiar RePitch features such as Synchro Link, Formant Shifting, and the Warp Points tool, RePitch 2 offers plenty of value. Also, each license comes with two activations, so you can use RePitch in your main studio and on your laptop to edit vocals wherever you need to.
