Pigments was already among the best software synthesizers before that. The VST brings four sound engines, a complex modulation matrix, a poly-rhythmic arpeggiator and sequencer, and many other features to the table. With Analog Lab 5, ease of use and quick results are at the heart of the plugin. The VST has sounds from 33 different synths from the V-Collection included. With only a few parameters, you can shape the selected sound to your liking. Additionally, you can opt to play the sounds as a multi, as split parts, or as layers. Zynaptiq Pitchmap is not your regular effects plugin. With it, you can alter the pitch polyphonically – of a whole track! To put it in a different perspective: you can change any note in any recording of any instrument, monophonic or polyphonic, in real-time! You can also completely change the notes’ pitches with MIDI input or by using Pitchmap’s so-called pitch-mapping. This can come in handy if you need to fix something in a done mix and you don’t have access to the individual tracks anymore. Also, Pitchmap is an absolutely insane tool for remixes and mashups, compared to the plugins from Arturia which are rather tame in that regard.

With Synchro Arts Repitch you can pitch-correct any vocal recording, even the timing and vibrato of individual notes can be changed! Compared to a polyphonic monster like Pitchmap or a soft synth like Arturia Pigments, Repitch works only on monophonic recordings and it’s specifically made for vocals. It can best be viewed as a very well-sounding alternative to Melodyne. And just like the prime pitch corrector, Repitch brings along ARA2, which, if you have a compatible DAW running that is, makes it possible to use the plugin almost in real-time.

VocAlign Project 5 deals with vocal editing as well, but it deals not with pitch correction, but with timing. If you’ve ever recorded overdubs for a vocal or guitar take, you’ve likely been in this situation: aligning the overdubs with the main take manually can take a frustratingly long time!
