A simpler release from Modbap that takes on the role of stereo mixing. Transit has gain control, muting a very useful ducking input, and a headphone output.

Transit

Not quite as stunning as the Osiris or as performative as the Per4mer but nonetheless Transit could be a really useful module in your rig. Obviously, it also pairs up brilliantly with those two modules. It has two channels of audio in either dual mono or stereo configuration. Each channel has its own gain control and mute switch which work with the main Master knob to control the level of either side.

In the middle section between the inputs and outputs, you’ll find a Duck input for each channel. This works like a side-chain input on a compressor where it pulls down the overall level in response to an input. You could use the trigger from a sequencer, a clock, LFO or gate to give room for the output of a kick drum or some other accent in your mix.

There are a lot of LEDs knocking around to visualise levels, states and what’s going on. You’ll also find a useful headphone out, with its own level knob, which turns Transit into a bit of a final output module. Although if you’re ducking then your final output will be elsewhere.

Modbap at Superbooth

Transit is expected to ship in June for $249. Modbap is at Booth H195 at Superbooth.
