Wiretap is like a circus of triggers that automatically generates rhythms in response to the movement of your melodies.

It’s an inversion function generator with two inputs for pitch information and the Wiretap will consider these inputs and generate a gate when the pitch steps or changes in either direction. There are separate outputs that generate gates for rising notes, falling notes, steps or movement. There’s a gate length and release time control to dial the result down to triggers if you prefer. It could also generate AR envelopes.

You could use it to trigger events relative to musical changes or create rhythms that follow the movement of your sequencers. It’s an interesting idea.

There was some information on this module knocking around last year that really interested me but it’s great to see it now emerge as a potentially fascinating product. It would be great to see it in action! If I find a video I’ll post it here.
