Sinevibes offers another uniquely creative plug-in at your disposal with the release of Hollow. Conceptualized as a ‘vast space reverb effect plug-in’, Hollow is a beautiful front-end for a massive delay network. That’s 24 delay lines, 32 filters, and a feedback matrix with as many as 256 connections reverbating your sounds through the ether…
Sinevibes Hollow reverb plug-in
Sinevibes proudly states that Hollow, at all settings maxed out, is capable of producing tail times in excess of 15 minutes – all whith ‘very natural exponential decay.’ So if you want otherworldly reverbs that still sound rooted into this mortal coil, there’s a plug-in for that now. Additionally, Hollow includes a variable diffusion stage and a unique bi-directional pre-delay. That is, it can make the reverb tail precede the dry input signal, which sounds gloriously messed up.
Hollow already has enough going on to get ambience lovers’ eyes glowing, but Sinevibes is wheeling out even more novelties. There is also unison modulation coming in from four phase-shifted sine oscillators. It’s meant to add ‘deep, chorus-like vibrance and richness.’ Likewise, Hollow features low-pass and high-pass damping filters, as well as ‘a very special formula for stereo width adjustment.’ It’s a way of giving the reverb further expanse.
Sound is one thing, but Sinevibes has a definite vision for its plug-ins’ aesthetics and overall UX. To that, the developer added lag filters to all continuous parameters which makes for smoother adjustments. Furthermore, it implemented consistent name, mapping, value, and unit information for all parameters in both the plug-in window and the DAW control/automation facilities. As a final touch, Hollow supports window size scaling at up to 200%. That’s quite the feat for a plug-in so animated.
