Save big on NI Komplete 12 updates and upgrades at Thomann
Until June 30 2020, Thomann is selling updates and upgrades to Native Instruments Komplete 12 / Komplete 12 Ultimate suite at significant discounts. I have a hunch that a Komplete 13 announcement may be coming later this summer, but this is a mere assumption at the moment. Big summer sales are a regular NI thing, so don’t read too much into it.
Komplete 12 offers over 50 instruments and effects, 10 expansions and a total of 220GB+ of content. Komplete 12 Ultimate bumps that up to 100+ instruments and effects, 20 expansions, and a total of 600GB+ of content. The Komplete Start bundle is still available for free, giving a taste from the paid products with a broad collection of 2000+ sounds.

It’s worthwhile mentioning that the difference between Upgrade 1 and 2 for the NI Komplete 12 Ultimate Collector’s Edition bundle is the presence of an additional 43,000 sounds in the latter. This makes for a total of 47,000 sounds in the Upgrade 1 bundle and 90,000 sounds for the Upgrade 2 bundle.

So many things to consider– apparently these are physical copies (on USB), so in my case the shipping rate to the US is $50. Although, the upgrade from 11 to 12 Ultimate is $275, so with the $50 shipping, it’s about $325 which is almost 50% off the digital upgrade direct from NI for $600.
The other thing to consider is the point of a possible 13 release as stated in the article. Unfortunately, the CEO of NI has stated the move to a subscription model*, so 12 MIGHT be the last time we see a one-time payment option from NI.
