More Information

The FET compressor is ultrafast, with an attack time control that ranges between 100 microseconds and 50 milliseconds, while the release time can be adjusted between 50 milliseconds and 1.5 seconds. With its unique GRIT mode, it makes the FET side of the OptoFET ideal for snappy transient shaping.

On the other side, the Opto compressor has a slightly slower attack time range, perfect for pushing the nuances and details of a signal forward in that cohesive way often referred to as glue. Meanwhile, its unique BLOOM character function generates additional harmonics from within the Opto compression circuit.

The magic of the OptoFET lies in how the two compressors can work together. With the variable crossover system, you can set the filter to divide the frequency range anywhere between 50 and 500 Hz. Also, you can then choose to process the high frequencies or lows with either compressor, bypass the crossover, or flip the processing order.
