AudioFusion Bureau RoomDIY: Design Your Own Acoustic Spaces

RoomDIY by AudioFusion Bureau is a unique acoustic modeling and room simulation plugin that lets you place your audio sources in freely designable acoustic environments. Instead of using pre-recorded impulse responses, the plugin generates acoustic environments dynamically based on room geometry, material properties, and positioning of the sound sources. You can use it to create unique reverb effects, but it’s also a great way to simulate acoustic treatment measures for your studio!
RoomDIY lets you create virtual rooms of any shape using an intuitive editor. You can specify the dimensions and wall materials, and place acoustic modules such as absorbers and diffusers. You can then freely position up to eight independent audio sources and a listener point within your newly designed acoustic environment. The system then calculates the acoustic paths and reflections in real-time.
RoomDIY also features an AI-based acoustic analysis tool that generates reports about the acoustic characteristics of the room you designed, including problem detection, recommendations for acoustic treatment, and an evaluation of the acoustics at the listening position. Fascinating!
The free version of RoomDIY has some limitations, such as a limited number of projects and a limited room size of up to 100m². The PRO version is currently on sale for $29.
RoomDIY is available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
MousePlugins The Trick: The Pultec Trick, Supercharged

The Trick by MousePlugins takes the classic ‘Pultec trick’ to another level. The iconic program EQ offers the unique capability to boost and cut the low frequencies at the same time, which results in a characteristic low-end boost with a low-mid scoop above it. The Trick emulates this behavior using component-level circuit modeling. While the LF Boost and LF Atten share a single frequency selector switch (just like on the original), they drive two independent LC networks, faithfully recreating the cherished Pultec characteristics.
In addition, The Trick offers a high-frequency section, which also consists of two independent networks. HF Boost is a resonant peak with seven frequencies to choose from. High Cut is a shelving cut with three frequencies.
According to the developer, the plugin also offers a tube makeup stage and transformer that remain in the signal path even when the EQ bands are deactivated. This means you can also recreate the other Pultec trick: simply inserting the EQ in the signal path for color, without actually performing any equalization.
The Trick is available for Windows and Linux in VST3 and CLAP formats.
Techivation Tilt EQ: Quick Tone Shaping with a Twist

Techivation’s new Tilt EQ is a tone-shaping equalizer that lets you balance brightness, warmth, and clarity with just a few quick adjustments. Like any tilt EQ, the Gain control affects the low and high frequencies simultaneously: boost the lows and cut the highs, or vice versa. You can freely adjust the frequency range and run the EQ in L/R or M/S modes, which makes this plugin quite a bit more versatile than most tilt EQs. There’s also a pair of low-cut and high-cut filters for taming unruly frequencies.
Tilt EQ also features a unique Drive control that turns the energy removed by the EQ into harmonic character. According to Techivation, this provides clean tonal correction without making the sound feel thin or lifeless.
Tilt EQ is available for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
