RESTRUKT: Restructure the Spatial DNA of Tracks

You know the problem: you’ve finally found a drum loop that perfectly matches the groove of your track, only to discover that it contains a weird kind of ambience that throws off the spatial balance of your mix. RESTRUKT comes to the rescue. One of my favorite entries from this year’s KVR Developer Challenge, this free plugin is an ‘Ambience Restruktor’ that lets you deal with unwanted room bleed, ring, and sustain while maintaining punchy transients.
RESTRUKT uses a three-step process. First, there’s an ambience reducer section that surgically removes unwanted ambience using a multiband envelope shaper. You can set the crossover frequency and dial in different threshold values for the upper and lower frequency bands.
Next up is a harmonic excitation stage that adds harmonic distortion and compression, helping transients cut through the mix and glue everything back together. And finally, RESTRUKT offers a tail reverb section for injecting a breath of fresh ambience into the signal if desired.
RESTRUKT is available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
Multiply 2: The only free Chorus Plugin you’ll ever Need?

Acon Digital has updated Multiply, and it’s still free! The first version was already one of the most comprehensive and best-sounding free chorus plugins available, and that hasn’t changed one bit in the new version.
Multiply 2 is a multi-stage chorus with adjustable voice count (up to six). According to the developer, each voice runs through a phase-randomizing filter, which helps avoid the metallic swirl and harsh artifacts associated with generic chorus plugins. Instead, Multiply 2 delivers lush, natural, and all-around pleasant chorus sounds.
It also offers a lot more parameters than most chorus plugins, letting you fine-tune the effect to your needs. In addition to the voice count, you can adjust the stereo spread and pre-delay. The pitch and amplitude can be modulated independently, and there’s a built-in 5-band equalizer for precise tonal adjustments.
Multiply 2 is available for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
The Clap: Synthesized Hand Claps – no Samples Required!

The Clap by Low End Candy is a hand clap synthesizer that doesn’t use any samples. A great way to give your grooves a lively, human feel!
Instead of samples, the plugin uses a physical model of human hands, including the skin smack, cupped palms, and high snap. No two claps are identical. You can dial in how many people should be clapping, and add a bit of scatter because no group of clappers is always 100% on the beat. There’s also a Feel slider that lets you dial in anything from digital precision to human imperfection.
Once your crowd of virtual clappers is complete, you can then place them in the space of your choice. There are five room types to choose from, and the reverb depth and stereo width are adjustable.
The Clap is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.
