With the Voco-Loco Mk2, you have the same freedom to express yourself sonically on stage as your favourite guitar hero. The fact that you can use dynamic or condenser mics means that, as a vocalist or instrumentalist, you can create a unique effects chain to deliver the most compelling performances, no matter what style of music you’re into.

The overall look and feel of the Voco-Loco Mk2 has been updated to fit in aesthetically with Radial’s ToneBone series and acoustic preamp pedals. Meanwhile, the rear panel has been upgraded with a new Neutrik locking XLR input, built sturdy and ready for the live stage environment. However, it can become a powerful creative tool in studio too.

More Information

The Voco-Loco’s preamp stage has also been given some extra juice in the Mk2 edition, so you can pair it with a wider range of dynamic and condenser mics. Once the signal enters the pedal, you have a 2-band EQ to shape the dry mic signal. Next, you have the send and receive I/O with individual level controls, and a tone control for adjusting the colour of the effected signal.

When combined with the wet/dry signal control and the controls of each of the effects pedals you use, you have precise controls for sculpting and balancing the signals, which is essential for lead vocals and solo instruments like saxophones. Another neat live feature is the ability to mute the effects or dry signal independently.

This allows you to create dramatic effects swells, and control them to come to the forefront or fade out under the mix. Although the Voco-Loco Mk2 ships with a 15V power supply, it will now perform optimally with any PSU from 9V to 18V, so you can run it into the same power brick as the rest of your pedals.
