PRS Mark Holcomb 2025
The PRS Mark Holcomb 2025 model is an update to the 2015 limited-run Core model, and now it is back, more refined and available once more. They have had an SE version since 2016, but now the Core model is back for 2025.
The Mark Holcomb signature model stands out in the PRS lineup with its mango top, a striking choice that not only looks unique but also contributes to the guitar’s resonant tone. It has the usual mahogany body you would expect from a PRS.
Designed for speed and precision, it features a 25.5” scale length maple neck paired with an ebony fretboard boasting a 20” radius and the PRS Bird inlays.
Scarlet and Scourge
At the heart of its powerful sound are Holcomb’s signature Seymour Duncan Scarlet and Scourge pickups.
These pickups are specifically voiced to deliver a focused low-end punch and crystal-clear articulation, ensuring that even the most complex chord voicings, coil-split tones, and aggressive drop tunings remain defined and dynamic.
The guitar’s 5-way blade switch further expands its tonal palette, offering a range of tones from the full force of dual humbuckers in position three to nuanced, coil-split options in positions two and four.
7 Finish Options
They have satin black hardware, including the PRS Plate Style string through bridge and PRS Phase III Locking Tuners with Wing Buttons.
It is available in Charcoal Wraparound Burst, Holcomb Wraparound Burst, Holcomb Blue Wraparound Burst, Cobalt Smokeburst, Fire Smokeburst, Gray Black, and Purple Mist Wraparound Burst. They ship with a set of PRS Signature 10-52 strings in Drop C tuning.
