Native Instruments is bringing TRAKTOR PRO upgrades to those interested in subscription plans. Starting with the latest update (version 3.6), Traktor Pro can be now equipped with new features and functionality on a Subscription basis. The first “external plugins” from the Soundwide merger are also included in the package.

Native Instruments TRAKTOR PRO Plus Add-on Subscription Plan

The software (and its hardware counterpart) have belonged to the DJ scene for a long time. Manufacturer Native Instruments would like to upgrade the package via the modern means of a subscription model. TRAKTOR PRO Plus Add-on promises regular delivery of new features which will only be available to subscribers. It remains to be seen whether this new approach will work. Subscriptions seem to work very well for many companies, and subscribers are constantly rewarded with new features and add-ons.

If you are a TRAKTOR user, you must be curious about which add-ons the manufacturer is about to present. In addition to bug fixes and performance updates, a new feature is a virtual drum machine that can fire samples from a well-known drum machine (the 808 ). It has a 16-step sequencer and four adjustable parameters (volume, sound selection, pitch, and decay) are available for this purpose. Unfortunately, only one sound and not a complete drum group can be programmed to play. In addition to the “normal” mix option, you can also mix the drum track to your tracks in ducking mode. This gives the drums more assertiveness and space.

Another new feature is iZotope’s Ozone Maximizer, which you can now select as a sum limiter. Thus, the first third-party plugin from the Soundwide merger is integrated into a large piece of software from NI. I’m excited to see which plugins and software from Soundwide companies will consolidate into one software in the future.
