NAMM 2019: Elektron teasing a new box of beats?
We’re still reeling from the Overbridge 2.0 public beta announcement but apparently Elektron is not done yet. With just a few days to go before NAMM they drop a teaser video onto Instagram and YouTube with scenes of people on bicycles, walking about, swans and buildings. Flashing up on the screen like so many glitches are all sorts of words and ideas that could give a hint as to what this might be about. I’m also inclined to think that the background music could be a giveaway (you think?).

At one point you get all these words and icons projected onto a building.

Evidently we’re talking about some kind of drum machine, sounds very analogue, and a nice acid bassline. There’s another load here:

Some bright spark posted this graphic on Reddit that points out that samples could be involved which is unsurprising for Elektron.

The image was created by a user from the elektron forum…also these articles are bare bones.. I’ve read a couple of these already and it’s like you’re following a stringent format. Click bait all around. How about specualtion… scroll through the forums and see what users say about these things..
Yes, I didn’t have a lot to say about it really. I’m not following a format, I’m just saying what I see and what I thought about it and it’s interesting that Elektron are releasing a new product – therefore news worth posting. Turns out my speculations were completely wrong in feeling the analog side of things – it’s all samples and a pretty dull looking box.
