Celebrating their 30 year partnership in 2018
The collaboration between Joe Satriani and Ibanez guitars has lasted 30 glorious years and so in 2018, they are celebrating with the release of the JS1CR30 Chrome Boy.

This super cool, ultra shiny and all chrome 30th Anniversary Joe Satriani Chrome Boy JS1CR30 looks stunning in its highly mirrored, reflective finish.

With a Sustainiac ‘infinite sustainer’ for a neck pickup and in the bridge position there is a DiMarzio signature Satchur8 humbucker, this guitar is pure Satriani i.e. a fun, fast player, steroid loaded stunt guitar for ultra smooth playing and insane noise creation.
Looking like something the Silver Surfer should play (Surfing WIth The Alien being Joe’s big break album) and based on his previous chrome finished guitar, it has an alder boy and comes with the Ibanez Edge locking trem system, which Joe is famous for abusing with dive bombs, pinch harmonic squeals and ‘the lizard down the throat’ guitar tricks.
There is no official price being listed at the moment, but I figure it won’t exactly be cheap. I’d love to try one out myself, but they could be pretty hard to get hold of, as I think all the Satriani fans will want one.
