Martin Guitars Update! The manufacturer of premium acoustic guitars is following up its anniversary models for CEO Chris Martin with six new models in many of its well-known series. There are additions to the X Series, the Road Series, and new GPCE/GPE Inception models.

Martin Guitars Update: GPCE/GPE Inception Maple Special

Martin unveiled the Inception series at NAMM 2024. What makes it special is the new bracing and the Sonic Channel. For this Martin Guitars update, they’re adding two models to both series. First, the GPCE Inception Maple series now includes a model with a beautiful glossy finish.

In addition, the GPE Inception Maple series now includes a new model without a cutaway in the Grand Performance format. Both series feature similar woods: spruce top, walnut neck, and ebony fingerboard. The GPCE series has a maple back and sides with walnut, while the GPE series features solid curly maple.

The new GPCE Inception Maple costs $5,069 / £4,555 / €5,199 at Thomann*. A left-handed version* is also available for the same price. The new GPE Inception Maple costs $5,333 / £4,799 / €5,499 at Thomann*, and a version for left-handed players* is also available.

SC-10E Spruce and more

There is also a Martin Guitars update in the more affordable series. For instance, Martin’s SC series is somewhat similar to Fender’s Acoustasonic models. The manufacturer describes the SC design with its particularly pronounced cutaway as acoustic-electric. . With 20 frets, a Richlite fretboard, and Martin E1 pickup system, the new SC-10E Spruce is available from Thomann* for $1,444 / £1,322 / €1,499!

There are also new products from Martin Guitars in two well-known series: GP-X2E Ziricote and OMC-X2E Ziricote. Each series is being expanded with a new body shape. The GP-X2E Ziricote Special now includes Grand Performance, which is between Dreadnought and 000 in size. The OMC-X2E Ziricote Special, on the other hand, remains a 000, but now comes in a new version with a cutaway.

The GP-X2E Ziricote Special costs $1,069 / £969 / €1,099 at Thomann*, as does the left-handed version*. You pay the same price for the OMC-X2E Ziricote Special at Thomann*, where a left-handed version* is also available.
