Keeley Nocturne Reverb

The new Keeley Nocturne Reverb is another Andy Timmons model. This collaboration has already produced successful pedals, like the Keeley Halo delay.

Andy Timmons admits he was never a big fan of reverb, but it seems he’s changed his mind. The
Keeley Nocturne features the specific reverb sound he’d long envisioned but couldn’t find anywhere else.

Overview

The effects pedal features three selectable modes: Nocturne, Spring, and Plate. Four large knobs ensure a clear layout and easy access to the essential parameters. There’s no unnecessary clutter. With the Tone, Level, Decay, and Modulation controls, everything is quickly at your fingertips.

Ambient Reverb and Beyond

Nocturne delivers a combination of ambient reverb and delay. This effect is roughly equivalent to Andy Timmons’ signature sound from Halo.

The result is a beautiful, sustained ambient delay mix. Spring provides the familiar “surf reverb” sound, and Plate provides the thick, soupy “EMT 140” sound.

More Features

The pedal is MIDI-compatible and can be controlled via an expression pedal, and features a remote momentary/latching function. Stereo input and output are also available, of course. You can save your favourite sound using the preset button.

The pedal, as always with Keeley, is made in the USA and built for the rigors of touring.

Conclusion

It looks like another great collaboration from Keeley and Timmons if you are a fan of reverb effects. The design covers a lot of ground and looks simple to use, which is always an excellent combination for guitarists.
