Corey Beaulieu and Jackson Strike Again With a Vicious New King V
Pro Series King V KV6Q with six strings and KV7Q with seven strings!
It doesn’t get any more metal than this! A thunderous update in Jackson’s signature series with Corey Beaulieu! The ongoing collaboration between THE metal guitar maker and Trivium’s lead guitarist has resulted in two new models that, in terms of specs and looks, offer some of the most aggressive and high-gain features currently available in signature guitars.
Jackson Pro Series Signature Corey Beaulieu King V
While Jackson and Corey Beaulieu have been collaborating for a while, namely in the magnificent USA Signature. Today, Trivium’s lead guitarist presents two new models from Jackson’s signature roster, this time in the mid-range price category, based on the Pro Series King V. But don’t be fooled, mid-range does not mean mediocre by any means!

On the contrary, the features Jackson has combined here, along with this sexy Transparent Black finish, are quite stunning at this price point. Mahogany body, quilted maple veneer top, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, with these woods, this axe vibrates and sustains for days! And as far as looks go, the King V is just edgier and nastier than the classic Flying V.
There are two versions of the Jackson Pro Corey Beaulieu King V: the KV6Q with six strings and the seven-string KV7Q with a reversed headstock. Both have a 25.5-inch scale length, a 12 to 16-inch compound radius, and 24 jumbo frets. And that’s how it should be!
Seymour Duncan Corey Beaulieu Damocles
Another unique feature of these Jackson Corey Beaulieu Signature models is the pickups. At Beaulieu’s request, Jackson has installed two of his signature pickups, namely Seymour Duncan Corey Beaulieu Damocles. These are two active humbuckers that really pack a punch. Perfect for metalcore à la Trivium!

You can switch between the two and combine them using a three-way switch, plus a global volume control and a tone control. And, of course, all the hardware and electronics are black. Speaking of hardware, the two guitars come with Jackson’s closed DieCast tuners and a mighty Floyd Rose 100 double-locking tremolo.
How much do the new Jackson Corey Beaulieu Signature models cost?
Both signature guitars are available now. You can get the Jackson Corey Beaulieu Pro Series King V KV6Q for $1,359 / £1,222 / €1,399 at Thomann*. The seven-string model KV7Q is priced at $1,444 / £1,299 / €1,499*.
