All About the New Fender American Pro Classic Basses
Fender American Pro Classic Bass: Precision Bass
In addition to the new guitar models, Fender has given its popular Precision, Mustang, and Jazz Bass bass models a facelift. All new models feature an alder body, a maple neck (with the option of a rosewood fingerboard), and classic specifications. These include a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge with steel saddles on the Precision and Jazz Bass and vintage-style “lollipop” tuners on all three models. The necks have been given a modern C shape, and medium jumbo frets have been added.

The Precision Bass features two Coastline ’60 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass® pickups that produce a great tone with powerful vintage sounds. The Fender American Pro Classic Precision is available in 3-Color Sunburst, Faded Lake Placid Blue, and Faded Sherwood Green at Thomann*. The price is €1,769.00, which includes a deluxe gig bag.

Fender American Pro Classic Bass: Jazz Bass
This bass features the same high-quality components as the original, but is equipped with two Coastline ’66 single-coil Jazz Bass pickups. These pickups are wired with a Greasebucket tone circuit. The Jazz Bass is available in 3-Color Sunburst, Faded Dakota Red, or Faded Firemist Gold. It is now available at Thomann*.

Fender American Pro Classic Bass: Mustang
The Fender Mustang bass has always been overshadowed by the other two models. However, this little bass has a lot to offer, with impressive specifications and all the right ingredients. It features two special Coastline® Mustang Bass® pickups that deliver the classic Mustang sound. The new Fender American Pro Classic Mustang is available in three colors for €1,699.00, at Thomann*.

Conclusion
The California-made Fender American Pro Classic basses remain in the mid-range price segment. That’s good news because this series offers unrestricted, professional-grade instruments featuring an excellent balance of classic and modern elements. We therefore recommend trying out the new series!
