What’s inside the EVH 5150 Iconic 15W Head?
Visually, the 5150 Iconic 15W Head is almost indistinguishable from its bigger brother at first glance, giving it a serious and appealing look. The amp comes with an EL34 power amp that produces 15 watts of tube power and two ECC83s in the preamp.

In terms of voicing, you get two channels that share the tone controls; volume and gain can be controlled independently for each channel. There are also global presence/resonance controls, an additional 10 dB boost control, and a ¼ power switch to reduce the wattage. There is also a digital reverb on board.
I/O
On the rear panel, you get a a serial FX loop and flexible speaker outputs, as well as an XLR output with a speaker simulation to directly record from the 5150 Iconic 15W Head. In addition, there is also a speaker output with switchable impedance settings. The amp also comes with a 2-way foot switch, which allows you to change the channels and trigger the boost.
Price and availability
With only 15 watts, the EVH 5150 Iconic 15W may not be quite as loud as the EVH 5150 Iconic 80W. but it certainly won’t be quiet. With all of its tube power, the little amp head will place significantly more demands on the power amplifier in terms of sound.
