What’s up, muff wigglers? The ever-productive gang at Erica Synths has two new DIY modules they want you to love. They are the DIY SWAMP and DIY Multimode VCF. Here’s more about each!

DIY SWAMP

This is a random CV and audio generator meant to drive self-generating, self-oscillating patches tinged with the sound of barely-in-control randomness. Its feature list includes three random audio frequency outputs, three random CV outputs, clock inputs and outputs, CV control over the internal clock (for extremely extreme randomness), and an external audio input routed to a – wait for it – a ring mod! Obviously, the DIY Swamp is a thing of pure crazy, and if the paper description doesn’t sound like it, we’ll let the following video convince you. Or not.

DIY Multimode VCF

Here, we’re talking a multimode filter module, based on a custom VCF chip – the AS3320 – manufactured in Riga. Among the VCF’s features are simultaneous LP, BP, and HP outputs, CV control over cutoff and resonance, and volume drop compensation as the resonance is increased. Both products are readily available from Erica Synths. Since these are DIY modules, you will have to assemble them yourself. Before that, here’s the price breakdown:
