The Audient iD44 USB-C desktop audio interface is on sale for EUR 449, down from EUR 555. Over EUR 100 off is a hecking sweet deal, but bear in mind the interface has reached its EOL (end of life) which means it’s getting discontinued and remaining stock is being cleared. This doesn’t necesarilly mean the interface won’t be getting any support for future operating systems. Many users get a stable setup together and skip OS version updates until they can get away with it. If that’s the case, the iD44 has a lot to offer. But if future-proofing is a concern, you should probably opt for a different investment.
Audient iD44 USB-C sale
The iD44 offers four of Audient’s console-class mic preamps with up to 60 dB of gain. Additionally, mic/line inputs 1 and 2 are equipped with symmetrical insert paths to apply hardware effects while recording. Also available are two direct instrument inputs with JFET circuitry replicating a tube amp input stage. There are four analog line outputs (jack) in total on the rear, and on the front, you will find two headphone outputs.
The remaining inputs and outputs are digital. 4x ADAT inputs and 2x ADAT outputs are provided to connect compatible external gear, such as preamps. Conversion quality is capped at 24-bit, 96 kHz. Also present is a word clock output. The Digital functionality is complete by a low-latency DSP mixer, ScrollControl for DAW remote control and three assignable function keys. The interface connects to your computer via USB-C.
