The EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Reissue is a limited edition run of 3500 units. Bringing back one of the company’s most popular effects. Though it has been revamped and enhanced, making for even more fun with delay and modulation.

The EQD Disaster Transport Reissue is a limited run and will no doubt be popular. They are going to make 3500 units, which may sound like a lot, but EQD has a pretty large fanbase and so I can see them selling out fairly fast worldwide.

What’s Different?
Two new mini switches and a redesigned delay are essentially the updates for this delay/modulation effect.
- Mod Mode switch allows users to bend or stretch the modulation wave.
- Mod Speed switch offers three rates of modulation: slow, medium, and fast. That according to EQD goes between bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop-offs to rapid chorus and intense vibrato.
Plus, the delay line has been redesigned to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. Plus it now has been filtered, to make it sound more like an analogue delay when compared to the previous versions.
The pedal has clearly labelled controls for Speed, Intensity, Mix, Repeats and Time. Plus the two footswitches for the modulation and the activation of the effect.
Users can also use the ramp modulation circuitry to turn the delay time down and start to use feedback and modulation at higher settings.
Revamped and with more options
Verdict
This looks and sounds like a great update and the price point is about right for such a creative effect.
Perfect for lovers of delays and with some great modulation possibilities available to users, this could be a lot of fun to use live or in the studio.
