Dwarfcraft Devices has just reissued the SheFuzz pedal as a limited run of 50 pedals, with part of the proceeds being donated to charity. This pedal has a toggle switch for everything – as long as you want some really filthy fuzz tones!
Dwarfcraft Devices SheFuzz Project
This reissue of the Dwarfcraft Devices SheFuzz will be followed by the the SheFuzz zine and mixtape. The SheFuzz will be a limited run of only 50 pedals worldwide, with some of the profits being donated to charity. 10% of proceeds from the SheFuzz projects will be donated to various US-based funds that have been “working to sound the alarm for abortion rights for years and that are doing the life-saving work of providing people with support/funding/after care for their abortions.” A noble cause.
The SheFuzz pedal is no tame ‘dirt box’ effect. This is more of a raucous ‘take no prisoners’ fuzz pedal. It is described as a ‘Grinding fuzz’ with a medium decay. I get the sense that it will be a lot of fun to play around with.
Starve Your Fuzz!
The SheFuzz has vintage-flavoured octave up sounds activated by a toggle switch, as well as power starve activated by another toggle switch or the momentary footswitch. This thing can get pretty freaky. A third toggle switch engages the bizarre compression effects setting.
You can use the gate control to vary the decay time in all settings, which also changes oscillation pitch in starved settings. All 50 units are hand-printed by Pinebox Customs.
The pedal is true-bypass and runs from either a 9 volt battery of external 9 Volt DC power supply. Pre-orders closed for these last month, but all is not lost. To get your hands on one you will need to order it directly from select dealers, though there may also be some available via the Dwarfcraft Devices website. Ordering goes live on the July 23, 2019.
Until then you can watch the official demo video below to hear the reissued SheFuzz in action.
