If you’re thinking of stepping slightly outside the realm of budget audio interfaces and you’re still relatively new to the audio game, the Zenith 2 is an ideal solution. As far as audio interfaces go, the Zenith 2 is as simple as they come, with two XLR combo mic preamps for mic, line, and Hi-Z signals with 75 dB of gain and studio-quality converters with 123 dB of dynamic range.
For streaming and recording workflows, the Zenith 2 is equipped with low-latency DSP effects, including a Tube-Opto compressor, Sky EQ, and De-Esser for leveling out dynamics and optimizing vocals, speech, and instruments. Besides the main stereo monitor outputs, there are two independent headphone outputs, so you can have different levels for the artist you’re recording.
In addition, there is loopback functionality, so you can create the perfect mix of your microphone input, system audio, and music. The Zenith 2 is bus-powered via USB-C and also class-compliant, with compatibility for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android devices. Meanwhile, Antelope has also thought about electronic musicians, with the inclusion of 5-pin MIDI I/O.
