The ‘Chet Atkins All Wah’ is a wah wah pedal built into a Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars high top shoe. Although this is, on the face of it, a ridiculous idea, it is a fun concept and has some interesting technology to achieve the desired effect.

Cute Circuit have used a digital sensor and linked it up to a regular wah circuit. This is hidden inside the sole of the shoe itself. Below is the original prototype conceived back in 2013 by Critical Mass. The design has now been updated by a fashion company called Cute Circuit who have added Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to hook it up to an iPhone or a Mac.
I cannot see it taking off, but then I personally would rather not have guitar cables attached to my shoes when I’m on stage.
