Made In Japan Art Gallery Collection FACE Stratocaster

This FACE Stratocaster comes in a finish featuring a shade of pink that reminds me of Hello Kitty, with a cartoonish, Pop Art feel. The back of the guitar looks to be plain white; the graphics are only on the front of this Strat.

The body is made from alder with a fairly traditional layout and hardware. Currently, you can only see them on the UK Fender site and we don’t have any details as to the specifications for this model.

Made In Japan Art Gallery Collection MHAK Telecaster

The MHAK Telecaster isn’t quite as in your face as its sibling. The look is subtler than the Stratocaster above. MHAK was born in Aizuwakamatsu, Japan and was influenced by ’50s furniture design.

This model has the ’70s style Wide Range humbucker in the neck and a standard single coil in the bridge position. There is also a subtle musical note inlay at the twelfth fret, which looks quite understated.

Again, no official specifications are available on this Telecaster model just yet. Check back to Fender’s main site later this month to see if it updates – or check with your local authorised Fender dealer for more information.
