Sonnox Inflator Deal: Get 74% off the Legendary Mixing Plugin
Ah, the Inflator. If you apply “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” to the world of plugins, and look up how many Inflator clones there are, you could come to the conclusion that Inflator is the best plugin ever. Because, sure, there are loads of 1176s and Minimoogs, but these emulate hardware. Sonnox’ Inflator has roots in hardware, but it’s a purely digital waveshaper.

And it’s been the secret sauce and loudmaker on mix buses of the biggest mixing engineers. It’s deceptively simple. Input and Output. You turn up the input, let its waveshaper magic do its thing, and out comes a mix that’s louder without having a higher volume.
Sure, the controls in the middle let you fine-tune the effect further. But you really don’t need to in the beginning. Just be sure to turn down the output to compensate the volume change before you hit the limiter.

Save 60% on Steven Slate Drums 5 and Trigger 2!
In terms of how much you can save, percentage-wise, this one is almost as good as the Sonnox Inflator deal. For years, SSD5 has been my go-to drum plugin for demos and, at times, even full-blown productions for my band Chaos Commute.
The last few years have been challenging for us, economically speaking, so when it came to our recent batch of songs, the question was: should we do a bad-sounding recording session in our rehearsal room with endless edits, or just keep and polish the programmed drums?

I can tell you, 99% can’t tell the difference, and because the style of my drumming is so minimal, you can create a MIDI replacement pretty convincingly (insert shameful admission of drum skill, or lack thereof). There were times when we’d mix and layer them with Addictive Drums 2, because, while SSD5 punches holes through every wall-of-sound guitar arrangement, it can sound a bit too processed at times.
But for drum fills, we did record in the rehearsal room to keep timing and dynamics. But to keep the sound consistent, we didn’t try to edit these in. Instead, we used Trigger 2 on these recordings. It’s one of the best drum replacement plugins on the market. And it ties right in with SSD5 and uses the same kits.
Right now, each one is a whopping 60% off at Thomann: Steven Slate Drums 5* and Steven Slate Trigger 2*.
Musik Hack Master Plan 2: 30% off!
I know, I know. “Can’t I just use Ozone?” – “FL/Logic has mastering built-in, who needs this?” To be fair, we’ve been spoiled with mastering plugin choices in recent years. Some DAWs already have a built-in mastering tool; Ozone has kept improving; and there are dozens of online mastering services…
So who needs a mastering plugin like Master Plan 2? From the looks of it, this hits a spot between full-on AI-assisted online mastering and huge plugin chains that isn’t that populated. Master Plan 2 might look simple, but it includes pretty much all the tools you’d need to get a well-balanced mix to a professional-sounding, loud (!) master.
It offers deep EQ processes through simple switches, up to three reference tracks you can load and draw sonic imprints from, different tape and saturation stages to get that analog flavon in your track, a resonance suppressor, anti-aliasing, a powerful clipper, and a limiter that can get your tracks above that -14 LUFS we all aim for.
It’s all offline, all in one plugin, loads of settins, loads of presets to get you started. And Musik Hack, the company behind the plugin, says they have proof the plugin was used on productions from the likes of Justin Bieber, Tyler, the Creator, Travis Scott, and many other heavy hitters.
If you’re still unsure, there is a fully featured, 10-day trial version so you can test drive this bad boy. But don’t hesitate too long, because the 30% off intro pricing might not last forever!
Check it out at Thomann*.
