Sony ULT TOWER MAX: A New Flagship Party Speaker
The Sony ULT TOWER MAX series is the latest version of Sony’s powerful wireless speakers, created in collaboration with Hip-Hop artists and producers.
First introduced in 2025, the Sony ULT Power Sound series brings its distinctive low-end-heavy approach to the world of entertainment speakers. Now, Sony has expanded this line with three new powerful options ideal for bringing musical life to any party or gathering.
Sony ULT TOWER MAX
Although the ULT TOWER 5, 7, and MAX vary in size, power handling, and battery capacity, their core features are the same, including the quad-profile audio processing engine. This allows you to choose between a FLAT neutral profile, the ULT 1 setting to emphasize subsonic rumble, the ULT 2 setting to maximize SPL, and the LIVE setting with a more open soundstage.
Each of the three models is also equipped with the same connectivity options, such as XLR and RCA inputs, a USB-C charge port, and a USB-A port for media playback. In addition, there is a Karaoke input with built-in echo and key-shifting to get the best match for your voice when you attempt to deliver some of your favorite songs.
All speakers in the series allow Auracast Bluetooth sync, which allows you to chain up to 100 compatible Sony speakers together into one monster system. What’s more, the built-in LEDs of each linked unit will flash in unison. To maximize the sound in every way, Sony has engineered powerful new circular woofers which are implemented across the range.
While the portable ULT TOWER 5 and ULT TOWER 7 offer 20- and 30-hour batteries, respectively, the MAX version is exclusively AC-powered and delivers a monstrous 2,150 Watts of output power with its driver array, consisting of three 280mm woofers, two midrange drivers, and four tweeters.
