The Jake E Lee Blue Burst model has just been officially announced by Charvel and brings back the finish he used during the ’80s with Ozzy Osbourne.
Jake E Lee Blue Burst
The new Charvel Jake E Lee Blue Burst model is based on the US signature model, just in his much-loved ’80s paint scheme. This Blue Burst finish is often associated with Ozzy Osbourne’s “Bark at the Moon” and “The Ultimate Sin” era for Jake E Lee.
San Dimas
This HSS layout, San Dimas body shape, features Lee’s hard-tail bridge and his slanted pickup layout, which he is known for. The Jake E. Lee Pro-Mod Signature Blue Burst is a high-performance guitar featuring an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck.
Built for Speed
Its rosewood fretboard uses a 12″-16″ compound radius that curves more at the nut for easy chords and flattens out for effortless solos, finished with 22 medium jumbo frets and classic white dot inlays.
This more affordable model still has the sleek hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back of the neck and the graphite-reinforced necks, which Charvel uses across all their models these days, so it will be a high-performance guitar, just it won’t cost $3k plus!
HSS
The guitar offers a massive range of sounds thanks to its unique pickup configuration. A Seymour Duncan JB humbucker at the bridge delivers everything from smooth, warm melodies to heavy distortion. For added power, two DiMarzio SDS-1 single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions provide extra gain and a darker, punchier tone.
You can easily shape your sound using the simple volume knob and the five-way blade switch.
To ensure everything stays in tune and holds up to intense playing, the guitar is rounded out with premium Charvel locking tuners and a rock-solid hardtail bridge.
