In 2024, Yamaha surprised us by introducing the TAG3 C in a dreadnought cutaway style. With the TAS3 C, the Japanese manufacturer presents a concert cutaway guitar.
The quality components remain the same. The solid spruce top delivers a clear, penetrating sound, and the solid mahogany back and sides provide warmth and richness. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard not only feel great to the touch but also ensure flawless playability. The transparent pickguard and attractive open champagne gold tuners give the guitar an elegant, high-quality appearance.
Inside the Guitar
There’s a lot of innovation packed into the Yamaha TAS3 C. For starters, it’s equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and a magnetic charging port. You don’t have to worry about empty batteries because they power the built-in effects. These effects include reverb, chorus, and delay. You can control everything via the built-in preamp/effects system on the side of the body.
What’s particularly exciting is the built-in looper. It allows you to capture spontaneous ideas and explore musical concepts in greater depth immediately. You’ll see a small circle at the top of the body, below the sound hole. Press this button to activate or deactivate the looper while you play. This practical, all-in-one solution is useful for singer-songwriters because it replaces the need for a separate pedalboard with effects and loopers. With the Bluetooth audio playback function, the TAS3 C is a versatile partner for any performance or rehearsal.
