Martin 000Jr E: Jeff Tweedy Signature Acoustic
Tweedy Signature with a Tweedy Burst...
This Martin 000Jr E comes from Wilco frontman, Jeff Tweedy. Complete with selected hardwoods to provide a bright country sound.
Martin 000Jr E Jeff Tweedy
This isn’t the first signature model for Mr. Tweedy. However, having had his previous model discontinued, Martin are back with another 000Jr model with some welcome appointments.
The 000 Auditorium body is wrapped in African Solid Sapele wood for both the back and sides. Finished in this signature Tweedy Burst to reflect the bespoke aspect of the instrument. Other aesthetics include the black binding and the faux tortoise pickguard, blending beautifully with the finish.
Accompanied by a familiar Ebony fingerboard which sits upon selected hardwoods that make up the neck. How prestigious!
Pickup System
Versatility guaranteed, this is not just a fingerstyle, lightweight one trick pony. We’re also working with a Martin E1 pickup that is also seen in other notable models from Martin’s back catalogue. This specific system includes a dial for volume and phase, along with a tuner and a tone dial.

To keep this Martin 000Jr in ship shape, we’ve got open nickel machine heads, and an ebony bridge with a white tusq saddle. Plus, 20 frets on a performing artist neck. Although most people who’ll play these won’t stretch past the first few of those. It’s nice to have options though, isn’t it?
Pricing and Availability
You can get hold of Jeff Tweedy’s latest signature acoustic guitar right away over at Thomann. They retail for a premium *£1,325 / €1,499. Overall, I think that this is justified considering the premium woods and sophisticated, tried and tested pickup system.
There’s also a Martin-branded soft light case included, which is a nice touch.
