The PRS CE 24 Special Limited Edition is the latest release from Paul Reed Smith, adding a single-coil middle pickup to their popular bolt-on neck model.
CE 24 Special Limited Edition
This new PRS CE 24 Special Limited Edition is a run of only 1500 guitars, and they feature the extra middle single-coil pickup (which gives it the Special name), making these guitars a flexible HSH layout with lots of tones available.
It has a mahogany body with a maple top that has a violin carve and is paired with a Pattern Thin profile 25″ scale length maple neck with a 10″ radius rosewood fretboard. This model has the PRS “Old School” Bird inlays and 24 frets.
Five Finishes
They have a nitro finish on the body with a satin nitro finish on the neck, and are available in Black Amber, Carroll Blue, Faded Blue Smokeburst, Faded Gray Black, and McCarty Sunburst finishes.
HSH Pickups
This limited run model comes with the PRS 85/15 humbucking pickups in the treble and bass positions, and adds a PRS NS-01 single coil in the middle position. It features a 5-way pickup selector to maximize the output of all pickups, along with a master volume and tone control.

Hardware
Hardware includes the PRS Patented Tremolo and a set of PRS Phase III Locking Tuners with Wing Buttons. Each guitar comes with a PRS Premium Gig Bag included in the price.
Price & Availability
These are a limited run, and so you’ll need to find an authorised PRS dealer to pick them up if you want one. Priced at $3199/£2899/€3299 each and available at Thomann in Carroll Blue, Faded Blue Smokeburst, and McCarty Sunburst.
