Mooer GE200 Plus: Super Affordable Multi-Effect and Busking Looper
Massive battery and audio interface functionality included!
After the standard model came the GE200 Pro model. And today we get the Mooer GE200 Plus, the successor to the original GE200. Visually, it seems to combine the size of the smaller model with the design of the larger one. What’s inside?
Compact, Versatile, Redesigned: Mooer GE200 Plus Li
The Mooer GE200 Plus Li comes with an integrated battery. It’s packing 3000 mAh which will last for 5.5 hours on a single charge and can be fully recharged in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Just plug it into a speaker and you’ve got the perfect busking setup!

As the successor to the GE200, the Mooer GE200 Plus offers more of everything. It now includes over 270 different emulations of amps and effects. The GE200 had about 150, while the Pro included just under 290. Using the Mooer Cloud and the in-house software, amp models in MNRS format, the modeling format developed by Mooer, can be loaded onto the GE200 Plus.
There are 20 memory slots and 255 preset slots for storing different settings for the virtual amps. In addition, there are 20 memory slots for impulse responses (2048 sample size), also with 255 preset memory slots. Up to nine modules can be loaded into one rig preset in these slots: FX/COMP – DS/OD – AMP – CAB – NS – EQ – MOD – DELAY – REVERB.
Workflow and Aonnectivity
The heart of the Mooer GE200 Plus workflow is the 3.5-inch LCD screen. It’s not a touchscreen, but you can’t expect that in this price range. To set up and edit a preset, you navigate through the menus using a series of buttons strategically placed around the display. In addition, there is a dedicated button for each of the nine effect blocks directly above the three footswitches.

These three have different functions depending on which mode you are in. In Preset Mode, they are used to switch between presets. In CTRL Mode, you can use the footswitches to activate or deactivate individual effects in a preset that have been previously assigned, such as a boost or reverb.
And in Groove Station mode, the GE200 Plus becomes a busking-ready looper, where the three footswitches function to start, stop, record, and initiate the built-in drum machine. In terms of connections, the multi-effect offers an instrument input, a pair of XLR stereo outputs, and unbalanced jack outputs for routing the effect to one or two amps. The pedal also becomes an audio interface when connected to a computer via USB-C. Quite a lot packed into a small package!
How much does the Mooer GE200 Plus cost?
The Mooer GE200 Plus Li with rechargeable battery is now available for $285.00 / £256.00 / €289.00 at Thomann*. It will be available in approximately 7 to 9 weeks.
