Charvel Angel Vivaldi Nova-7: Natural 7-String
Natural finish with gold hardware
The new Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT from Charvel offers a natural finish and striking gold hardware for this 7-string for the guitar virtuoso.
Angel Vivaldi
This new Charvel Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT model is certainly unique and has some very specific features.
It is the result of a close collaboration between Vivaldi and Charvel, building upon the success of previous six- and seven-string iterations of the original Nova, first introduced in 2019.
This latest model is inspired by Vivaldi’s diverse musical explorations, encompassing Latin fusion, funk, and acoustic styles.
Premium Features
A modified Dinky caramelised basswood body capped with a flame maple top and three-ply body binding forms the base for this 7-string signature model, and the natural finish should help accentuate these woods.
Then a bolt-on maple neck, custom-shaped to Vivaldi’s preferences with graphite reinforcement, and a satin back finish. It features a sculpted heel for effortless upper fret access and a tilt-back reverse seven-string Fender Stratocaster headstock for optimal string tension.
The 12”-16” compound radius maple fretboard offers rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets, cascading black dot inlays, and a Gotoh locking nut. A heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel ensures easy adjustments (I love these things), and it comes with Luminlay side dots, which glow in the dark.
DiMarzio
An HH pickup configuration features a DiMarzio Tone Zone bridge pickup and DiMarzio Air Norton neck pickup, both adorned with gold covers. These are wired with a five-way blade pickup switch, with dome-style volume and tone knobs.
It comes fitted with a recessed Gotoh GE1996T-7 double-locking tremolo bridge and Charvel-branded die-cast tuners, all finished in gold.
Price & Availability
The official price for the Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT is £1,499/$1,999.99/€1549, which seems about right for a signature 7-string model with these specific hardware specifications.
They should be available from Thomann later this summer.
