With over 8,800 participants and 301 exhibitors from 31 countries, 2025 set a new record, demonstrating the event’s growing relevance beyond the hardware industry. A significant expansion was particularly noticeable in the pro audio sector. With 38 exhibitors from nine countries, it became clear that software tools, studio technology, and hybrid workflows are becoming established at the trade fair as well. This mix of analog fascination and digital progress gives the event its unique dynamic.
However, SUPERBOOTH is not just about exhibiting equipment. The musical portion of the event, which is deeply rooted in the modular cosmos, set new standards in 2025. Live performances by artists such as Surgeon, Dasha Rush, JakoJako, and Mathew Jonson were complemented by events like the Ensemble for Modular Synthesizers, the Studio for Electroacoustics at the Berlin Academy of Arts, and immersive workshops by Echio.co. These offerings impressively demonstrated the close intertwining of technology and artistic expression. The targeted promotion of diversity within the workshop offerings – for example, through formats for women, non-binary people, and beginners – contributes to an open atmosphere that many other industry events can only aspire to have.
Despite all its successes, SUPERBOOTH’s future is not without challenges.
