Scout Synth is 3D printed, Arduino compatible, open-source and full of square waves as a cool DIY project or completely assembled synth of good fun times.

Available in alarming atomic pink or acidic lemon the Scout Synth from Oskitone will brighten up any desktop and infect your day with monophonic square waves that just want to be played. The 3D printed hardware includes 17 clicky-clacky keys, a built-in amplifier, a speaker with a nice fat volume knob and an output jack.
Not a lot more to it than that. You can buy it assembled and ready to go but I imagine that would be terribly disappointing in that you could probably buy a more elaborate and versatile synthesizer like the Behringer TD-3 for the same money. However, as an Arduino based DIY project then it’s probably got some legs and the Open-source software is available to be hacked, hijacked and reprogrammed with an FTDI cable and a bit of know-how.

So, get yourself the kit if you want to spend an afternoon building a fun little synth. The kit is $42 for just the internals, $65 to include the 3D printed hardware or get yourself a Behringer TD-3, Korg Volca Keys or IK Uno Synth for around the same price as the $125 fully assembled version.
