THE64 SUB PRO and THE100 SUB PRO are two new gigantic models added to the range of ASCENDO Infrasonic Subwoofers for ultra-low bass.

When one gapes at these monstrous subs, it’s impossible not to be instantly reminded of Marty McFly famously testing out Doc’s CRM-114 amplifier with his yellow little Erlewin Chiquita guitar in Back To The Future, circa 1985.

The difference is, of course, that these giant 100-inch infrasonic subs are not fictional; ASCENDO or AIA (Ascendo Immersive Audio GmbH) is a very real German manufacturer of specialized audiophile cinema speakers.

The two new 64-inch and 100-inch models replace the previous 50-inch and 80-inch SUB PRO PASSIVE INFRASONIC SEALED models, respectively. Ascendo has redesigned these for improved infrasonic performance, offering greater precision and linearity, and you guessed it, even lower bass extension.

The upgrades also include a new suspension system, which has undergone optimization with quad spiders. This allows greater excursion across the whole frequency range. Ultra-low frequency reproduction has also been refined considerably, surpassing the capabilities of any previous subwoofer.

In addition, there are improvements to the speaker cabinets, with a singular custom surrounding that permits the new demands of THE64 SUB PRO and THE100 SUB PRO. There are also optional application-specific enclosures for each model with upgraded internal bracing. Meanwhile, the damping materials have been optimized to decrease resonance for the ideal impulse response.

We are proud to be the leader in infrasonic bass. Our continuous innovation in this category translates to an extremely high-performance, emotionally connected experience that enriches state-of-the-art home theaters and music reproduction systems with bass you can feel. These two new subwoofers are the largest in the world for home cinema, and are incredibly powerful, efficient, and fast.

“My sub’s bigger than your sub.”
