[January 25, 2024] The Two Notes Audio Engineering Genome is a virtual guitar rig designed for guitarists and has been in production for quite some time. Today, they launched the official release and it only costs $79!
Genome
Two Notes’ development of the Genome software has spanned five years, including a Beta Testing program back in 2022 and more beta versions throughout 2023.
This amount of research, and development combined with Two Notes’ long 15-year-plus history of making Impulse Response and amp technology, has all led up to this official launch. The price point of only $79 is also pretty amazing for everything this software offers.
It combines amp simulation, effects, and a channel strip all in one professional-sounding plug-in.
DynIR technology
The Genome is powered by proprietary engines and includes Two Notes’ renowned DynIR technology. It also includes 160,000 studio-grade IR files that offer extensive mic positioning and dual mic-ing.
Lane-based signal flow and 20 components then help with quick preset creation, letting guitarists focus more on playing than tweaking settings.
AI for ease
AI is then used to help users create new virtual rigs. This AI technology then offers an intuitive interface with essential controls for gain, bass, middle, treble, and volume, allowing for fine-tuning of static amp models.
Tube-Stage Modeling
It also uses the Tube-Stage Modeling (TSM) amplifier engine. This gives users professional-grade preamps that emulate iconic guitar and bass gear. Users can mix and match these preamps to create their tones. This is matched with the customizable power amp section that includes various tube models (6L6, EL34, EL84, KT88) in different configurations.
Effects
The software includes studio-grade effects and virtual stompboxes that allow users to create virtual guitar rigs with ease.
System Requirements
Two Notes GENOME is available in the formats VST, VST3, and AAX for Windows 7 and above, as well as AU for macOS from 10.7.
At only $79 it looks like a bargain, plus there is a 14-day trial period so that you can try before you buy.
