UDO announces the Super 6 Desktop synthesizer that has all the Super 6 12-voice binaural analogue hybrid synthesizer power in a compact desktop-friendly form.
Super 6 Desktop
It’s an interesting shape. It looks like a mini synth but where the keyboard has been replaced by more controls. It definitely has that Super 6 vibe and I wonder if they’ll do it in more colours. It has retractable feet to make it sit up a bit on the desk, you can add rack ears if you want to secure it into your system and there’s even a rear VESA mount so you can have it floating exactly where you want it using monitor arms. All the controls remain in a large format with high-quality sliders and knobs to keep the premium feel. They’ve given the practicalities a lot of thought.
Otherwise, this is the same 12-voice hybrid synthesizer with exciting stereo possibilities that we know from the keyboard version. Based on state-of-the-art FPGA technology featuring Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) and downloadable waveforms. It has a lot of versatile modulation, an arpeggiator and a 24-bit digital effects section.
The price is £1949 and shipping this autumn.
