Squier Paranormal 2026: Baritone, Bigsby, and Barely a 12-String
There's a Thinline P-Bass, too!
The Fender Mid-Year Drop is in full swing, and the new Player Fusion series has already shown that it doesn’t always have to be vintage for Fender. The new models in the Squier Paranormal 2026 series go a step further, showcasing some of the most exciting and unusual models of recent years: guitars and basses that show that Fender moves with the times, experiments with new ideas, but also remains true to its roots.
What’s new for Squier:
Paranormal Stratocaster Deluxe
Let’s dive into the Squier Paranormal 2026 lineup with some exciting ST-models, namely the Stratocaster Deluxe. These HS guitars feature a rather minimalist design. They combine a Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickup at the neck with a Fender-designed Alnico humbucker at the bridge. Plus, there’s a three-way switch plus push/pull functionality for coil-splitting the humbucker on the tone dial.

I might be stepping on some toes here, but let’s be honest: there aren’t that many who use middle single-coil a lot anyway. So, this model just leaves it behind. Visually speaking, the large, ’70s-inspired headstock and the ribbed amp-style pots are a real treat.
What else? We get a nato body, a maple neck with a “C” profile, 22 narrow-tall frets, an Indian laurel fretboard, and a vintage-style tremolo bridge and vintage tuners. The Stratocaster Deluxe is available in Vintage White*, 3-Color Sunburst*, or Lake Placid Blue*.
Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe Bigsby: NATO Experience for Paula Fans
Here we have a rather unusual T-style guitar in Squier Paranormal 2026: the Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe Bigsby. A hybrid featuring a Tele body, a mighty Bigsby tremolo, and a Les-Paul-style pot setup. For woods, the guitar is a standard Squier affair: like the Strat, it features a nato body, maple neck, and Indian laurel fretboard (22 narrow-tall frets).

But then they go and throw in a massive Bigsby B50, two Fender-designed Alnico humbuckers (both with optional coil splitting). And the cherry on top of this Tele cake? Separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, which, together with the humbuckers. makes this smell like Les Paul a bit more than we’re used to in Tele land. Available in Honey Sunburst* and Black*.
Squier Paranormal Electric VI: Take a page from the past
But that was by no means the end of it for the Squier Paranormal 2026. Nor was it the end of unusual design choices. With the Paranormal Electric VI, Squier has pulled a guitar creation out of its hat that feels both familiar and yet completely out of this world.
The older folks and Led Zeppelin fans among us will remember the Electric XII, which a certain Mr. Page used to record much of a song about a certain stairway to heaven. And given the name Electric VI, you can probably guess what we’re dealing with here: a six-string version of that legendary 12-string guitar.

Nato, Jaguar-style body, vintage Mustang-style floating bridge, a shorter 24.75″ scale: If the Trouble-Tele was already an experiment, then this model is from a whole other planet. Just like its larger counterpart, it features two split-coil pickups that are controlled via a special four-way switch and can even be set to out-of-phase in position 3. Available from Thomann in Three-Color Sunburst* or Daphne Blue*.
Paranormal Baritone Jazzmaster HH
Squier isn’t just taking risks, they’re also keeping up with the times. After all, baritone guitars have become all the rage in heavy music in recent years. The Player Fusion already proved that they’re paying attention.

In a nutshell: these Offset models feature a longer 27-inch scale length (for B-to-B tunings), an Adjust-O-Matic bridge, and two Fender-Designed Alnico humbuckers. Available at Thomann in black* or seafoam green*.
Squier Paranormal 2026: A Thinline Precision Bass!
For bass aficionados (bassficionados?), the Squier Paranormal 2026 lineup includes a real treat: a Thinline Precision Bass. Thinline models feature an F-hole with a slightly hollowed-out body. Not quite a semi-hollow, but in terms of tone and weight, they’re in a category all their own.
But it’s not just the F-hole that’s unusual: the Thinline P-Basses also offer a unique pickup configuration. A ’51-style Preci single-coil at the neck is paired with a Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge. All in all, this should be a very versatile but also unique sounding bass!
At Thomann, it’s available in Olive, Vintage White*, or Three-Color Sunburst*.
