Serato DJ 3.3.2 Update
Last year’s 3.2.1 update was the first time that Serato DJ added support for non-Serato controllers. With update 3.3.2, the developer has done it again.
With this latest and free update installed, the DJ software now works with Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol Z2 and Pioneer DJ DDJ-RB. If you have either of these devices in your arsenal, you can now use them with Serato.
Download Serato DJ from the update page (link below). Note that Pioneer DJ DDJ-RB works with both Serato DJ Pro and Lite while Traktor Kontrol Z2 is limited to Serato DJ Pro only.
Serato software is available at Thomann*.

3.2.1 Update Supports Non-Serato DJ Controllers
[21 August 2024] The Serato DJ 3.2.1 update adds support for non-Serato controllers for the first time. Is your DJ controller supported?
3.2.1 Update
[August 22 2024] Serato’s merger with AlphaTheta may have been blocked but that doesn’t mean the two companies can’t work together in some capacity. The latest update to Serato, number 3.2.1, adds compatibility with non-Serato controllers for the first time – including a few from AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ.

Supported controllers now include:
- Pioneer DJ DDJ-200
- Pioneer DJ DDJ-400
- Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3
- Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S3
“The update also transforms the way sets are performed by allowing even more DJs to seamlessly integrate Serato’s revolutionary stem-separation technology and isolate vocals, melodies, basslines and drums in real-time,” says Serato.
Owners of these controllers can now access Serato DJ Lite for free with the option to buy or subscribe to Serato DJ Pro.
3.2.0 arrives with new FX
[4 June 2024] The new versions of Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite include a completely reworked and expanded effects section. With new parameters and improved controls, the new effects integrate seamlessly into your DJing workflow. Alongside the Infinity Tone, Spiral Echo, Stretch, Vast Reverb, and Infinity Flanger effects, the hugely popular Rollout effect from Serato Scratch Live is making a comeback.
In addition to this, the new version includes improved versions of existing effects. The Custom FX feature is especially interesting. It allows you to create your own effects and save them as presets. This feature is available to all owners of Serato DJ Suite or Expansions, as well as FX license holders.

Furthermore, update 3.2.0 sports an improved user interface with new display modes. This includes the redesigned FX Panel for a better overview. You can now save up to four FX banks.
Channel FX supports controllers and mixers with built-in hardware effects. In the new version of the DJ software, you can now assign these to the filter control. This feature is also available in Serato Play.
If your DJ set is all about effects, you’re going to like this update. We can’t wait to find out what Serato will come up with next.
Availability
At the time of writing, the update is only available as a public beta. The official release will be in July of 2024. You can find out more about the beta here. Various versions of the software are available at Thomann*.
