Say Echoes and Wave Goodbye! – Sounds and Presets
Digital For The Win!
We’ve got patches for both hardware and software synths this week, with a couple of packs for Arturia’s JUP-8000 V and Pigments 6, plus two new banks for Behringer’s Wave!
Sounds and Presets
Signals Vol.1 for Behringer Wave by GEOSynths
Most of you probably already know about Jamie Morden and his synth patches, released under the moniker ‘GEOSynths’. If you don’t, well then we best sort that out right now! Jamie is a prolific and talented sound designer who designs sounds for synth manufacturers as well as for his own brand.
This week sees the launch of his latest bank of sounds, this time for Behringer’s hugely successful Wave. This recreation of the legendary PPG Wave has reintroduced those crispy, digital tones to our ears that evoke memories of the 1980s with consummate ease!

Signals Vol.1 is a collection of 50 sounds that make use of the internal wavetables, as well as 15 new ones provided by Jamie, covering motion pads, dynamic strings, splits and stacked patches along with the usual fare of lead, bass, pad and FX sounds.
Because the Wave doesn’t come with onboard effects, Jamie has decided to use a couple of free plugins, namely Bluecat’s Chorus and Valhalla’s SuperMassive. Each preset in the Signals bank has a corresponding patch on both these FX plugins, so match them up and away you go!
Installing these sounds requires the use of Behringer’s Synth Tribe app and you can pick up this bank for just $19 direct from the GEOSynths website.

Studio Sound Set for Behringer Wave by The Synth King
Released within days of the GEOSynths bank, we have another great collection of sounds, this time from The Synth King! In fact, I bumped into The Synth King at Superbooth, introduced by a mutual friend, and I can confirm that whilst you never see his face in his videos, Bernd is a very nice man indeed!

In a similar way to what Jamie has done, TSK has created 50 new sounds, all built from 16 custom wavetables. Using all of his experience, along with all the features of the Wave, The Synth King has created some wonderful patches. Just listen to the demo!
Already receiving many 5-star reviews, this bank is a real treat for Wave owners and contains some truly evocative sounds that just ooze that undeniable wavetable sound of the 1980s. Synthwave producers will just lap this bank right up!
This pack costs a mere $18 USD and is available directly from the Synth King’s website.

True Trance for Arturia JUP-8000 V by Natlife Sounds
The indisputable star of Arturia’s latest iteration of their V Collection was their surprise release of the JUP-8000 V, a faithful and supremely satisfying rendition of Roland’s trance-inspiring classic, the JP8000.

Whilst the wealth of factory presets should be enough to keep you going, especially those ‘track in one key’ patches, it was inevitable that sound designers would embrace the Supersaw and start creating some classic trance-y sounds for it.
Natlife Sounds has stepped up to the plate with a collection of 64 trance-inspired sounds that inevitably make great use of the Supersaw for amazing leads, but use other aspects of this virtaul analogue legend to deliver punchy basslines, huge pads and more.
They have also made use of the JUP-8000 V’s extra features, such as the Trance Gate modulation feature, to give you even more authentic trance sounds at your fingertips. Put simply, if trance is your thing, and you have the JUP-8000 V, you’d be a fool to not add this to your library.
You can grab True Trance straight from the Natlife Sounds website for €22.00.

Echoes for Arturia Pigments by Tom Wolfe Presets
Another preset pack for an Arturia synth now, with the latest offering from Tom Wolfe for Arturia’s highly regarded original synth, Pigments. Now in its sixth iteration, one notable addition was physical modelling, a feature that has Tom chomping at the bit to make sounds with it.
Echoes is the result, and it is a truly beautiful collection of sounds that really delves into this still, in my very humble opinion, vastly underused sound creation method. Using Pigments veritable plethora of sound design tools, Tom has created an incredibly ethereal collection of sounds.

Tom combines the physical modelling engine with Pigments’ other sound engines and FX to deliver some truly rich and compelling tones that can be applied across the board to most works, but there is a definite alignment with soundtrack and ambient pieces.
Tom currently has an offer on Echoes that will expire on Wednesday, 11th June 2025. This offer has the pack priced at £15.99, a saving of £8 on the full price, plus he will also throw in five bonus templates that will aid you in creating your own sounds using the Pigments physical modelling engine.
Grab Echoes here, and be sure to check out Tom’s other great work, along with his vault of free patches! There’s also a 5-patch freebie for you to try before you buy.
