If you don’t have a USB cable long enough to reach your computer, or if you don’t have a computer, then the WC-1 wireless adapter could be just what you need to give your Roland synth access to the fabulous Roland Cloud library.

Plug it into the back of your synth and it connects wirelessly to an iOS or Android app on your phone. Then you can use the app to browse the catalogue of Sound Packs, Wave Expansions and Model Expansions and install them directly to your hardware. You can also audition sounds in the app before you decide to download them. It’s pretty neat.

The Roland Cloud Connect pack comes with a full year of Roland Cloud Pro subscription for the same price as just buying the subscription. So for owners of a Jupiter-X, Jupiter-Xm or Fantom it’s a bit of a no-brainer.

Roland Cloud Connect will be available in the new year for $99.
