Noted plug-in dealer Plugin Alliance dropped what may be the Tzar Bomba of plug-in subscriptions. For USD 250 a year, the Mega Bundle gives you full and unrestricted access to every current and future product on Plugin Alliance.
Numbering over 100 plug-ins by the likes of SSL, Focusrite, Brainworx, SPL, Unfiltered Audio and others, the catalog is on a steady path of growth with the up-and-coming additions of new amp models (Ampeg/Diezel), creative effects (Delay/Flanger), console emulations (Neve), and a synth, among other things. It goes without saying that all future product updates come as part of the subscription, as is very much the industry norm.
Mega Bundle, No Dongle
Unlike the majority of audio software subscriptions, the Mega Bundle is dongle-free, which is a more user-friendly approach for sure. It is currently available on a yearly basis for USD 250 per year, with a USD 25/mo monthly subscription option coming soon. The monthly subscription is straight month-to-month, no commitment, and with the ability to cancel and re-subscribe at will. Each subscription license is good for up to 3 machines.
Plugin Alliance also lets you try plug-ins before you subscribe, with 14-day trials available for all products. All previously activated trials and demos have been reset, which means everyone can test-run the plug-ins even if they have done it in the past.
Also of note is the plug-in guarantee policy. Plugin Alliance has entered agreements with its partners to specifically prevent plug-ins from dropping out of the Mega Bundle, so no plug-ins are going missing and rendering you unable to open and bounce existing sessions. Should any plug-in be discontinued while you are actively subscribed, you get a lifelong license for it and legacy installers, free of charge. You also get to keep your existing licenses with the option of selling them after subscribing to Mega Bundle.
