OLLO Audio R1
The R1 is a highly durable but comfortable closed-back headphone design with a 50mm dynamic neodymium magnetic driver system that uses a patented composite Pu+PET membrane. The construction consists of American walnut earcups and acoustic foam pleather-covered earpads, as well as a headband built from silicone and stainless steel.
The earpads use a slight tilt to their design, and they can be rotated for the perfect fit. What’s more, they are easily replaceable, and every part of the R1 headphones is serviceable with regular household tools. The cable uses a Y-shaped configuration, connecting to the earcups via mini-XLR connectors for stable signal quality.
What’s interesting is that the R1 is not designed to have a flat frequency response. Instead, OLLO Audio has opted to shape the sound with a smiling frequency response with enhanced low-end and high-frequency range. This makes these headphones more fun and inspiring to use for tasks like tracking vocals and other instruments in your studio.
