Setback Reverse Delay

The OBNE Setback Reverse Delay focuses primarily on multiple delay textures within the reverse delay effect category, which is perfect for this brand of pedal builders, as they excel at oddness.

This means the reversed playback undergoes highly complex internal signal processing. The result is surprising and multi-layered textures in the repetitions. From crystalline echoes to lo-fi grit, the OBNE Setback delivers unpredictable, pitch-shifted textures.

Sync’d Delays

The delays can have their own timing or be fully tempo-synchronized. The pedal has also been designed to be intuitive to use, allowing you to achieve results quickly. No menu diving here, just twist a dial and start getting creative!

Simple Controls = Impressive Results

The controls are simple and very clearly laid out. Four knobs, two buttons, and two footswitches are available to play with. The Mix knob adjusts the mix ratio of wet and dry signals. Speed changes the playback speed of the reverse, enabling pitch-shifting effects.

The Div knob sets the subdivisions of the reverse timing, and Clock adjusts the sample rate of the reverse, thus altering both the delay time and the signal fidelity. It allows you to craft everything from 24-second ambient washes to glitchy, runaway feedback.

The two buttons let you control tap tempo and sustained feedback, or switch between presets. You have a total of three storable presets at your disposal. The soft-touch on/off footswitch features a relay switch for minimal switching noise.

On the back of the unit, you’ll find stereo input and output with analog dry-through, and an expression input. The expression control works with every control function, so it is great for setting up hand-free parameter tweaking.
