The new Neve 1073DPX-D is an audio interface with a dual 1073 preamp stage and high-end conversion, giving your recordings a natural edge.
The 1073DPX-D is the new flagship of the “D” line, expanding the possibilities of the 1073SPX-D with two 1073 channel strips. Now, you can track two instruments simultaneously through the world-famous transformer-coupled preamp and EQ stage, straight into your DAW.

Besides the obvious benefit of having a pair of 1073’s, the 1073DPX-D has a few other advantages. For expanding your current audio interface and providing the dual-1073 analogue frontend, you can use it in ADAT expansion mode to give your studio an instant makeover. Each of the 1073 channels is also equipped with insert points, so you can add your favourite outboard compressors into the signal path.
In addition, if you’re planning on using the 1073DPX-D as your primary audio interface, you can also use the ADAT I/O to increase your input count with preamps like the 1073OPX, for example. With an additional eight preamp channels, you’re set up to take on recording projects like elaborate instrumental ensembles and small-scale drum kit recordings.
Naturally, a 10×12 audio interface with 192kHz 24-bit recording sounds pretty standard, but having the ability to run any mono or stereo signal from your DAW through the 1073’s is a very attractive prospect. This opens up the possibilities beyond tracking, and the 1073DPX-D becomes an essential mixing tool for adding warmth and musical tone shaping to any sound.
Overall, if you consider the fact that every major studio in the last 50 years has made sure to equip a pair of 1073’s as a bare minimum, the 1073DPX-D makes a lot of sense. Even as an audio interface, it offers straightforward setup and operation with familiar controls and a high-quality headphone preamp built in to drive any set of headphones.
